Als Ausgangspunkt der Pilgerreise nach Santiago de Compostela stellt sie den westlichsten Landpunkt des Hexagons dar. Die beeindruckenden Klippen dienen als Vorsprung des Leuchtturms von Saint Mathieu, dessen wei\u00dfe und rote Farben mit dem tiefen Blau des Ozeans kontrastieren. Seine Reichweite von 29 Meilen hilft, Schiffe bis in den Engpass von Brest zu melden. Jahrhundert, Saint Mathieu de Fine-Terre, die unter Denkmalschutz steht und einst eine wichtige Kultst\u00e4tte in der Region und ein Pilgerort war. Man erz\u00e4hlt sich n\u00e4mlich, dass sie der verbliebene Zeuge einer noch \u00e4lteren Abtei ist, die von Saint Tanguy im 6. <br \/>Von der Hostellerie de la Pointe Saint Mathieu aus kann man das Finist\u00e8re auch zu Fu\u00df erkunden, indem man den Wanderweg GR34 entlang der K\u00fcste nimmt. Seit 1791 f\u00fchren seine 1800 km langen Wege durch die Heidelandschaft und geben den Blick frei auf pr\u00e4chtige Landschaften, die zu den sch\u00f6nsten Panoramen der Bretagne geh\u00f6ren, sowie
